Welcome to the Summer School-Age Program!
We also offer a summer program for children ages 6-9. The summer program starts May 29 and ends August 17 this year in time for the beginning of school. The program is filled with exciting activities, including various field trips such as miniature golf, bowling, picnics in the park, swimming, and roller skating. Tuition payments are due on Monday or Tuesday. Activity fees are due upon registration. There will be no refunds on activity fees as the tickets are purchased ahead of time.
Our summer program teachers are Rachael Harlow, Sierra Chapman, and Kristin Shepherd.
Rachael graduates from UIS in Springfield in May 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. She hopes to find a elementary or middle school teaching position in the fall. She also has several years experience studying Spanish and American Sign Language.
Sierra has just finished her first year at Indiana University where she is majoring in Exercise Science. She has been a member of the Springfield Ballet Company for the last 4 years. Sierra also attended Children’s House as a child.
Kristin is graduating from Millikin University with her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in May 2012. She enjoys music and has helped teach music at a summer camp in the past. Kristin also had a great experience teaching English conversational skills to primary students in Beijing China in June 2010.
